How can I pay for Membership?

Just click Make Payment to go to the payment page. This will show you what packages we have, and any special offers we may have. We use Netbanx and Click&Buy payment gateways to provide a secure payment process and accept all types of credit and debit cards. We do not hold any card details on our servers, which ensures maximum safety for your details. You can also use alternative methods of payment - by calling our hotline +353 152 62472, or paying using your mobile phone or cheque/postal order.

My credit card has been rejected by your payment system. Why?

There may be a number of reasons why your card has not been accepted. These include:

  • You may simply have entered an invalid card number. The most likely reasons for this are that you have mistyped the card number or missed some of the digits, or you have not entered the card number we need. Please try again, checking your typing carefully.
  • The card type you have specified (e.g. Visa, Debit) does not appear to match the card number supplied. Please go back and check that the card type selected is correct.
  • Your bank has declined to authorize payment for this amount.
  • Your card may be of the type that requires the cardholder to be present, and is therefore not suitable for telephone/Internet bookings.
  • We regret that we are currently unable to accept American Express cards.

When will I be charged?

Joining SpeedDater and SpeedDater Online is currently completely free and will remain free. You only have to pay to attend events. Or for SpeedDater Online to read messages, send messages or reply to flirt messages you have received.

We charge your credit card when you book a speed dating event or buy a SpeedDater Online membership. The only exception to this is for events we're not sure are going to go ahead. For 'provisional' events we collect contact details and then contact everyone who has registered once we have enough people to go ahead.

What happens after I pay?

Once you have paid, your account is immediately activated, and your period of subscription starts (for cheque or postal order payments this is usually on the next working day). If paying by Protx, you will receive an email notifying you of your payment. This acts as your payment receipt and the Reference on it should be used if you need to contact us for any reason. Your ability to have full access to the site is confirmation from us that we have actioned your payment.

How do I renew my Membership?

We operate a repeat billing policy. This means that once your initial membership period has expired, for your convenience, your membership will automatically be renewed at the same rate that you signed up for. That means even if our prices rise, your renewal costs are fixed at your signup price. Rebilling will occur only when your current payment period expires and not before. However, the bank prepares the payment file 3 working days before that date, so if you do not want to continue to use the site you will need to cancel your repeat billing with us at least 3 days before the collection date. We use Netbanx to provide a secure payment process and accept all credit and debit cards except Visa Electron. We do not hold any card details on our servers, which ensures maximum safety for your details. You can also pay by cheque, postal order or by your mobile phone. How do I cancel my Membership?

If you want to cancel your membership before your billing has expired, you will need to cancel any repeat billing first. You will have full access to the site until the payment expires. You can then remove your account.
To cancel your Repeat Billing:
1. Click on the "my account" link in menu.
2. Click on the "Cancel Repeat Billing" link.

Under our terms and conditions we do not refund membership fees.

Where can I view my "Billing History" and how long my Membership has to run?

To view your current status:
1. Click on the "my account" link in menu.
2. Click on the "Billing History" link in Account Upgrade block there you can view your current status and when your membership expires.
